BIC is one of the only clubs on campus with a focus on international business. Our founders recognize that with a bright and diverse student body, there is an opportunity to bring those skills to organizations beyond our “Berkeley Bubble”.

On average, expect to commit around 10 hours a week as a consultant. Since you will be working with real clients, the time spent on a project may vary depending on the nature of the work. However, we will try to accommodate around midterms and finals.

No. We recognize that if we want innovative solutions, we need students from different fields of studies who can bring in their knowledge. Therefore, we encourage students of all backgrounds to apply.

Not at all. While we are a club with an international focus, we do not expect members to be international students. We also do not expect all of our members to speak a foreign language. However, it is encouraged as we will be working with clients overseas so this skill will help aid in communication!

Yes. Whether you are in your first semester at Berkeley as a freshman or transfer, or maybe even in your last semester if you are passionate about learning and believe you have something to contribute we encourage you to apply.

Yes. While we will offer the resources to help you pursue a career in consulting, as long as you are interested in the work we do and want to make an impact then we want you on our team.

As a nonprofit, we do not charge clients. However, donations are strongly encouraged in order to reinvest back into the professional development of our consultants.
